Our 7 acre farm is nestled in the middle of regrowing woodland that is a beautiful buffer from surrounding farmland. Since 2015, our farm was Certified Organic through Quality Certification Services, QCS, but in 2024, we decided to drop our organic certification in a desire to spend less time working at the computer doing paperwork and to spend more time out in the fields working.
Growing Practices - Your family can rest assured that we still follow the practices outlined by the National Organic Program, which includes: extensive cover cropping to rebuild our soils, using only GMO-free seeds, planting beneficial insect attracting flowers and herbs around the farm, and the use of all-natural products, only when it’s a necessity, to ensure proper environmental health and farmer health.
Nourishing Acres sells at the Saturday and Wednesday Markets.
